Abu Dhabi-based Dalma Mall has announced a 24-hour mega Eid Mega Sale from June 5, 10AM until June 6, 10AM. Retailers in the mall will offer deep discounts, some even up to 90% across categories during this second season of Eid Mega Sale.

Spinneys to open in Ajman’s Al Jurf community

Home-grown supermarket chain, Spinneys will officially open the doors of its latest store in the family-favourite and rapidly-developing Al Jurf community in Ajman. The store opening is scheduled on May 30, 2019.

Spanning more than 14,000 sqft, the new Spinneys store in Ajman will be the second in the emirate and will create over 35 new jobs for the local community. It will be open seven days a week from 8am until midnight, bringing a convenient, one-stop shop for great-tasting, quality food.

The new full-service supermarket will be the 58th Spinneys store in the UAE and will feature a range of on-site facilities. Services will include an in-store bakery with an Arabic bread baking facility, fresh cold and hot deli, a butchery, tasty fruits and vegetables, mixed salads, prepared food to go and everyday staples.

Harvey Nichols opens a new store in Doha, Qatar

Harvey Nichols in partnership with Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana Group of Companies, has opened doors to a new store in Doha, Qatar. Located in Doha Festival City, the store is spread across 80,000 net sq. ft. of retail space, spanning over three floors showcasing a luxurious edit of womenswear, menswear, accessories, beauty, childrenswear and lifestyle.

Mexican cinema operator,Cinépolis eyes major expansion in Oman

Mexican cinema operator Cinépolis will open a new movie theatre in Sohar, Oman on Thursday, its second in the Gulf region. The company revealed it plans to open two more cinemas in Oman by the end of this year as part of further expansion across the region. Cinépolis’ newest cinema will open with a screening of the Hollywood blockbuster ‘Aladdin’ with regular screenings of Bollywood and global hit movies taking place each day.

Located in the Landmark Group’s Oasis Mall, Sohar, the Cinépolis cinema will feature eight screens including the first Junior theatre in Oman which features a Jungle Gym, complete with slide and ball pit, as well as bean bag seating. Every screening shown in the Junior Theatre will be split to include a 15-minute intermission to allow restless children to take a break, enjoy some snacks or play a while.

Elsewhere, guests can relax with three seating options Recliner, Deluxe or Premium, with rocking or fully reclining leather chairs available.The Sohar opening comes five months after Cinépolis, the fourth largest operator in the world, made its debut in the GCC with the launch at the Atrium Mall, Saar, Bahrain.

QNTC launches biggest ‘Summer in Qatar’ programme

Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) announced a season of summer experiences, retail offers and entertainment, to run from 4 June to 16 August. This year’s ‘Summer in Qatar’ introduces a wide range of exciting indoor activities and thrilling outdoor experiences, along with entertainment programs featuring local, regional and international artists, edutainment, summer and sports camps as well as special promotions on inbound travel, hospitality and shopping.

Visitors delighted at City Centre Bahrain with traditional ‘Gergaoun’ celebrations

Fashion Forward Dubai pop-up returns to Saudi Arabia

Fashion Forward Dubai (FFWD), Middle East’s definitive fashion platform, will present a special collection by 12 regional designers for its third edition in Jeddah department store Rubaiyat, Stars Avenue during Ramadan, from May 17 until June 3, 2019. Dresses created by seven of those designers will also be available in Rubaiyat’s newly opened department store in Olaya Riyadh, KSA.

Assima Mall to house several first-to-Kuwait brands

The Assima Mall, part of the massive Assima Project, will open with 60% retail concepts that are new to Kuwait, RetailME reports. The mall will house the first Monoprix in Kuwait. The first Galleries Lafayette store in Kuwait, spread across three floors, will open in Assima Mall.

Another anchor tenant, yet to be announced, will also be new to Kuwait. The entertainment offer in the mall will be huge and differentiated, with the likes of National Geographic Ultimate Explorer and UFC health club – both first-to-market in Kuwait – along with local brand Cinescape, part of the Kuwait Cinema Company.
