Region’s top retailer, Lulu Group is rapidly expanding its network across the GCC to cater to the growing needs of the vast multinational consumers of residing in the country, especially in the new suburbs.
The 171st Lulu Hypermarket was inaugurated yesterday by H.E. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy PM of Bahrain , following the official opening of the newly revamped Muharraq Central Market by HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister of Bahrain.
Strategically located in Muharraq, the sprawling 90,000 sq. feet new hypermarket which is also 8th in the country and 171st globally leads the redesigning of the Muharraq Central Market space and is expected to revitalize business in the one of the most historic trading hubs in Bahrain. It has been designed using the latest retail space concepts and most modern technology for ease of shopping and will serve the residents of Muharraq and Busaiteen, which are densely populated residential areas and a trading hub. The new branch employs 1,200 Bahrainis including 450 females.
